The shepherding model features life-giving interaction within relationships, applying the principles seen in God’s Word, as a leadership framework that still applies today.

What is Shepherd Leadership?
Leadership modeled after Jesus, the Good Shepherd, goes beyond servant leadership to sacrificing for the people you influence in your personal and professional relationships. That service + sacrifice becomes evident when you provide for them, protect them, and are fully present for them at the right time. This is the Leader’s Shield: Provision, Protection, and Presence.
Why Shepherd Leadership?
Serving people can become transactional. Shepherd Leadership adds sacrifice – giving up time and convenience. Letting go of ego and recognition from others – in short, giving up every part of “what’s in it for me”. It’s about what’s best for the other person. Every time.
What makes Shepherd Leadership so life-changing?
It gets personal. Motivated by submission and surrender to God because of His great love for us, leaders go the extra mile with no expected payback in return. Resolved to serve and sacrifice, title or not. It applies this biblical framework as a mirror. It turns leadership into something people feel, not just follow. Because Jesus did.

MEET OUR TEAM
Holly Culhane
FOUNDER & CEO
Holly is Founder and CEO of Presence Point®, a non-profit organization focused on equipping leaders to intentionally live into their calling as shepherds in the lives of those they influence, in every walk of life, all over the world, and in partnering with multipliers to do the same within their sphere of influence. She is also Consultant Emeritus with P•A•S Associates, an HR consulting firm she founded in 1987. Holly facilitates a number of leadership development workshops and is a Master Trainer with Lead Like Jesus. She has served on the Board of Trustees for Youth for Christ/USA, and the Board of Directors of AdelFi Credit Union, International Christian Ministries, and the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce.
Holly is available for more than Presence Point workshops. She can be an engaging guest speaker to share the wisdom of leaders as shepherds at your special event!
Doug Culhane
COO
With 38 years as an educator before retirement, Doug conveys his knowledge from a broad range of experiences. Doug’s professional journey has included teaching a wide variety of subjects in classrooms and workshops stretching from southern California to east Africa. He serves as COO of Presence Point®, Inc., and supports the ministry in a variety of ways as he and Holly travel the world to spread the shepherd leadership message.
Doug is available for special speaking engagements and looks forward to sharing his perspective on leaders as shepherds for your next event.
Shelley Cochrane
Mission Advancement
As a consultant and strategist for not-for-profit organizations, Shelley leads Presence Point initiatives related to ministry advancement and partner communication.
Shelley is a speaker, teacher, and author with international experience. Shelley lived in Austria for over a decade, working with minority guestworkers from Yugoslavia and a church plant in their language. She was also a teacher at Vienna Christian School. Serving in a C-suite position with the international mission agency for more than a decade, Shelley retooled all the initiatives in North America.
Shelley started her own company and consulted with over two dozen national and international not-for-profits, specializing in strategy and planning for long-term sustainability. Other leadership positions include leading a healthcare foundation as executive director and vice president of a leading direct response marketing agency.
Shelley and her husband Mike are active in their church and neighborhood and enjoy time with their two children and eight grandchildren. For fun they RV with their dog, River; kayak, hike, and try new culinary exploits. Shelley is also a die-hard sports fan; ask at your own risk!
Lindsay Gustafson
Apricot Services, Social Media Manager
On behalf of Apricot Services, Lindsay supports Presence Point as a Social Media Manager. Leveraging years of experience in marketing, the publishing world, non-profit development, Lindsay Gustafson has a passion for gathering digital communities. She worked with Zondervan Publishing for many years and then lived in the Middle East doing business-as-mission where she and her husband served in various communications and marketing roles. Lindsay is owner, chief strategist, and queen of detail at Apricot Services, LLC. When she’s not in the virtual world she can be found laughing with her two adult children or sitting with a good book.
Apricot Services, LLC is a digital marketing firm that focuses on helping Christian authors and non-profit organizations invite their audience into great conversations in online spaces. Lindsay, and the Apricot team has spent the last ten years innovating custom digital strategies that draw the right attention to creators in ways that build communities for the long haul. We believe platform building is an act of hospitality and that relationships are powerful.
