A Listening Posture

We are hardwired by God to listen and we can be trained to listen better, but we also need the desire to listen.

Being present as a shepherd leader — and I mean being truly, genuinely present — requires listening well to the sheep in your life. Ironically, it’s one of the toughest tasks in today’s world, as messages of all kinds are bombarding us from nearly every direction, almost every waking hour! David Bennett, Global Associate Director for Collaboration and Content with the Lausanne Movement, has authored a blog that beautifully illustrates not just how we’ve been wired by God to listen to others, but the biblical basis for it, as well.
