Favoritism as a parent can sometimes be a struggle, especially when a family consists of both biological children and adopted, fostered, and/or stepchildren. God’s Word is clear, though, “if you favor some people over others, you are committing a sin” (James 2:9). There are no caveats.
Through this dadcraft interview, meet Andrew Bryant, a courageously transparent dad who chose to share his battle with the temptation of favoring he and his wife’s biological children over their adopted daughter. He speaks of intentionality, how his kids have made him a better person, and the importance of teaching his boys to respect women.
