At YFC Orlando, a Simple Conversation Reveals a Shared Calling
Presence Point was invited by Youth for Christ (YFC) USA to participate as a Preferred Provider exhibitor at the National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Orlando. Preferred Provider status is extended by invitation only from YFC’s national leadership team and reflects their recognition of Presence Point’s ongoing work alongside YFC chapters across the country in advancing the biblical principle of shepherd leadership. This invitation affirms a shared commitment to developing leaders who serve with integrity, compassion, and faithfulness.
During the Youth for Christ USA National Leadership Conference, an unexpected conversation at the Presence Point exhibit became a meaningful reminder of how God orchestrates connections.
Mike and his wife Christi stopped by the booth, sharing that Mike had recently retired from a career in Leadership Development at Caterpillar, Inc., and was attending a YFC conference with Christi for the first time. As they talked, Mike explained he had been searching for a fully biblical leadership framework — one that integrated the message of sacrifice and could be taught and reproduced in many settings. Unknown to the Presence Point team, he had already explored Presence Point resources online after hearing about the ministry through a trusted colleague.
Over the next several days, Mike and Christi returned to the booth, and by the third day Mike shared that he had spent hours engaging Presence Point’s online teaching and had become deeply convinced of the shepherding message, describing the experience as an answer to prayer.
For the Presence Point team, the encounter was a clear encouragement and a reminder of God’s continuing work in calling and equipping leaders for new seasons of service.
