Presence Point Invited to 2023 University-Model® Schools Summit

Presence Point is thrilled to have made a new connection with NAUMS, Inc., an organization that helps start University-Model® schools (a hybrid of traditional classroom and home-based schooling) in communities around the world. The Presence Point team will be attending their annual Summit this July in Southlake, Texas, to promote the multiplication of the shepherd leadership message with elementary, middle, and high school age students.

NAUMS believes their model affirms the biblical mandate of Deuteronomy 6:6-7 to Impress them (God’s commandments) on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” We believe shepherd leadership is a critical component of that mandate as well.

NAUMS, Inc. Chief Executive Officer, Barbara Freeman, enthusiastically told us that “Presence Point and Leadership from the Shepherd’s Perspective come highly recommended to leaders of the University-Model® school system.  Paula Cowan, Head of School at Legacy Christian School in Bakersfield, CA, uses this program with students in her K-12 University-Model® school.  Mrs. Cowan says the program ‘really works to help stronger students reach out to students who may be struggling and need help along their journey through school. In my opinion, the Shepherd’s Perspective is the only program of its type.’”

Mrs. Freeman added, “NAUMS, Inc., the parent company of University-Model® Schools International (UMSI), is privileged to have representatives from Presence Point available at the 2023 UMSI Summit to share the shepherd leadership message and to equip other school leaders with the tools necessary to make a difference in the lives of students.”

The UMSI Summit is scheduled for July 16-19, at the Marriott Hotel in Southlake, Texas. For more information, see
