Presence Point is thrilled to have made a new connection with NAUMS, Inc., an organization that helps start University-Model® schools (a hybrid of traditional classroom and home-based schooling) in communities around the world. The Presence Point team will be attending their annual Summit this July in Southlake, Texas, to promote the multiplication of the shepherd leadership message with elementary, middle, and high school age students.
NAUMS believes their model affirms the biblical mandate of Deuteronomy 6:6-7 to “Impress them (God’s commandments) on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” We believe shepherd leadership is a critical component of that mandate as well.
NAUMS, Inc. Chief Executive Officer, Barbara Freeman, enthusiastically told us that “Presence Point and Leadership from the Shepherd’s Perspective come highly recommended to leaders of the University-Model® school system. Paula Cowan, Head of School at Legacy Christian School in Bakersfield, CA, uses this program with students in her K-12 University-Model® school.
