Shepherd in Action, Roger Spradlin

Roger Spradlin is Senior Pastor of Valley Baptist Church in Bakersfield, California. He’s served in that role since the church began in 1985 and his commitment to teach the Bible through accurate and relevant exposition has never wavered. Earlier this year, Roger experienced a medical challenge that didn’t surprise God, but certainly surprised him. After all, most pastors don’t count on a vocal cord issue that will prevent them from preaching for weeks at a time! But God, as He always does, used that time to reinforce to Roger some important lessons about spiritual disciplines.
