“There’s no plan B with the love of God”, Cory Asbury states. You may have heard the song, “Reckless Love” on the radio. The first part of the chorus goes like this:
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn’t earn it, and I don’t deserve it, still, You give Yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah
Jesus shares with us a parable of the lost sheep and how the good shepherd will leave the ninety-nine to go find the one lost sheep. This may be lost to us in our culture and our society today as it doesn’t make sense why one would seemingly abandon the majority to find one lost sheep. But, the good shepherd is the shepherd not only over the ninety-nine but also over the one. Jesus tends to His entire flock but cares for each one of us individually.
Watch this clip as Cory Asbury shares his insights on the love of our Good Shepherd.
