October 2026

Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live it? Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.

Romans 6:1-4

What a beautiful reminder Paul gives us, as he gave to the believers in first-century Rome… we have died to sin! Although in today’s world we have not been removed entirely from sin’s influence, we are set free from its absolute power over us.

We are influencers inside and outside the body of Christ, shepherd leaders chosen to impact for Christ everyone we encounter. We must remember that because of the commandments to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love others as we love ourselves, we are to do more than manage our sin. We must resist every temptation to live in our old selves and, instead, live in the power He put within us when we chose to believe in Jesus and follow Him. Our dear fisherman-shepherd, Peter reminds us that “we have been given everything we need for life and godliness.”

Fellow shepherd leader, let’s live like it!

May we be who we already are!

Latest Global prayer call summary

John 10:11-12

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. A hired hand will run when he sees a wolf coming. He will abandon the sheep because they don’t belong to him and he isn’t their shepherd. And so the wolf attacks them and scatters the flock.”

These verses were the focus of the Global Prayer Call devotional provided by Pastor Glorie À Dieu Rukundo, from Burundi, East Africa, as he focused on the power of the shepherding message and the sacrifice of our Good, Great, and Chief Shepherd.

Approxmately 18 fellow under-shepherds from a variety of countries on three continents gathered to pray for requests submitted by Presence Point multipliers and giving partners from around the globe.
