“And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead…” Matthew 28:7a
Each year, as Resurrection Sunday approaches, the Easter Song by Keith Green begins to swell within me. Maybe you remember it…
Hear the bells ringing. They’re singing Christ is risen from the dead. The angel up on the tombstone said He has risen, just as He said. Quickly now, go tell his disciples that Jesus Christ is no longer dead! Joy to the word, He has risen, hallelujah! He’s risen, hallelujah! He’s risen, hallelujah!
What jubilation the women felt when they saw Jesus on their way to tell the disciples of His resurrection! And what joy and excitement we should feel, as well! He is risen! He is risen indeed!
May The Good Shepherd become more real to you this Resurrection Season than ever before … and may His presence overwhelm you.
What Happened in March
Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.” Matthew 28:5-6
…he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you. Matthew 28:7b

The women ran quickly from the tomb. They were very frightened but also filled with great joy, and they rushed to give the disciples the angel’s message. And as they went, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they ran to him, grasped his feet, and worshiped him. Matthew 28:8-9
